At Hockey Joe, we did not take any PPP loans. We used our rainy day fund to get by. We were ready for this emergency. That is what Capitalism is. The definition of capitalism is "an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state." Is it fair that your tax dollars were used to help these private companies get by because they were unprepared? We think not.
If a company is unprepared for an emergency, it should fail. There's always a startup or a small business waiting to take its place for its one chance. It's called capitalism. Unfortunately, those waiting this time did not get their one chance.
